Samantha Mewis is editor-in-chief of The Women’s Game, a media vertical brought to you by the Men in Blazers Media Network. A UCLA alum, she helped bring home the 2013 national championship her junior year. Drafted to the Western New York Flash in 2015, she started all 20 regular-season games as a rookie in 2015, and in 2016, she helped the Cinderella team win the league championship by scoring crucial goals in both the semis and the final. In 2017, while the Flash franchise was sold and rebranded the North Carolina Courage, the core of the team remained the same. The team continued to excel, winning the 2017, 2018, and 2019 NWSL shields and 2018 and 2019 NWSL Championships. Mewis also won the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup with the USWNT and was named the #1 Player in the World by ESPNFC in 2021 during her time with Manchester City. Sam and her older sister, Kristie, are Bronze medalists from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Sam worked as a leader of the USWNTPA to fight for equal pay and previously had a weekly women’s soccer podcast with cohost Lynn Williams called Snacks, produced by Just Women’s Sports.
Rachael Ott Chancey

Rachael Ott Chancey is an Active Duty Air Force Colonel with over 22 years of service. She commissioned into the Air Force in 2002 with a degree in Exercise Science, Indiana University of PA. She has a Masters degree in Human Relations from University of Oklahoma and another in Strategic Studies from Air War College, Air University. She has seven overseas deployments and has lived all over the world serving in multiple roles. She is currently stationed at the Pentagon, Washington DC.
She has a passion in helping others and is training for her seventh marathon and her fourth Chicago marathon, with the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Her running has given her a passion and a purpose and she strives to make the world a better place.
